Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics
The
Computer Application Engineer will partner with our sales teams in the West (Regions: Northern California, Pacific Northwest and South California) you will work on supporting our advanced interfaces for machine centric robotic applications, and work on proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configure robotic solutions for PC centric robotic applications.
This role will be remote and have up to 35% of travel in the region listed. Ideal candidate would be based in Northern California/Seattle or Oregon market near a major metro airport.Core Responsibilities- Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.
- Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Develop server applications that drive the robots, AI modeling, and strong understanding of automation engineering and mechatronics.
- Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements.
Requirements- Bachelor's in engineering or computer science with 5+ years in developing client/server applications.
- Must be competent on Java script, REST, Linux, and Python.
- Must be competent on AI modeling (data sets, labeling, training)
- Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.)
- Mechatronic engineering knowledge is desirable
- Automation engineering knowledge is desirable.
- Travel: 35% travel is required for this position.
