We are looking for a
Compute & Storage Platform Owner for an existing vacancy in our Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering team. This role owns the Compute & Storage domain, including compute infrastructure, virtualization, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, and container platforms. You will define architecture, standards, and guardrails, ensuring platforms are scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with strong cross-team impact. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with three days in office.
What You Will Do- Own and evolve compute, virtualization, storage, and container platforms across on-premises and hybrid environments
- Define architecture, standards, and guardrails for performance, resilience, recoverability, and cost efficiency
- Define workload hosting, placement, scaling, and lifecycle management practices
- Own storage and data practices including tiering, retention, backup, and disaster recovery
- Act as the primary interface to business and engineering teams, translating workload needs into platform capabilities
- Partner with Security, Operations, and other Platform Owners to align direction and resolve dependencies
- Guide SMEs on design decisions and ensure alignment with standards
- Drive platform consistency, reduce fragmentation, and improve consumption models
What You Bring - 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, compute, and storage platforms
- Strong experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid environments
- Deep knowledge of enterprise storage, backup, replication, and recovery
- Strong understanding of workload performance, capacity, and data lifecycle management
- Experience with container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and modern compute environments
- Practical experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud services
- Experience defining platform architecture, standards, and guardrails
- Clear communicator, able to work across technical and business stakeholders
- Pragmatic and outcome-driven mindset
The expected salary for this position is $130,000 to 140,000 CAD. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
