Compute Sales Manager II This role has been designated as 'Remote/Teleworker', which means you will primarily work from home. Job Description: We are seeking a Compute Sales Manager to lead a team of compute sales specialists and drive growth across enterprise customers throughout the Northeast U.S. This role is responsible for executing HPE's compute sales strategy, developing a high-performing team, and delivering strong business results through customer engagement, pipeline development, market penetration, and complex deal execution. The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise technology sales leadership, experience developing and coaching sales talent, and the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on pipeline, account, and business management. This leader will drive a strong hunting mentality, establish effective market coverage, and partner across HPE to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and accelerate growth. Responsibilities: • Leads the sales team to success by communicating direction aligned with the company's vision and strategy. • Inspires the team to meet and exceed sales goals while driving growth and increased profitability. • Creates and maintains a high-performing team through recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining top talent. • Organizes team coverage and adapts resources to maximize market coverage and financial performance. • Coaches and mentors team members to drive best-in-class individual and team sales performance. • Orchestrates major enterprise-level customer engagements to deliver strong results and a best-in-class customer experience. • Manages escalations and drives solutions that convert challenges into business opportunities. • Engages with senior customer executives to understand business priorities and align HPE solutions with customer needs. • Builds and maintains strong executive-level relationships with key customers and partners. • Drives a strong hunting mentality across the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities. • Guides teams in developing effective sales strategies including technical positioning, IT investment strategies, and pricing approaches. • Partners with internal stakeholders across HPE including channel, presales, legal, and other sales teams to maximize customer success. • Establishes and manages the end-to-end sales process including pipeline development, forecasting, and execution. • Oversees strategic and tactical sales planning at both the segment and account levels. • Provides accurate sales forecasts and insights into customer trends and market dynamics. • Delivers structured customer feedback, competitive insights, and win/loss analysis to support continuous improvement and strategic decision making. Education and Experience: • University or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. • 10+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, including demonstrated success achieving progressively higher quotas and sales goals. • 5+ years of experience managing high-performing sales teams preferred. • Experience leading teams responsible for complex enterprise technology or infrastructure sales. • Experience recruiting, developing, coaching, and performance-managing sales talent. • Demonstrated success driving pipeline development, forecasting, account planning, and complex deal execution. • Strong executive-level customer engagement and relationship-management experience. • Compute, server, data center, hybrid cloud, AI infrastructure, or related enterprise infrastructure sales experience strongly preferred. • Demonstrated excellence in project and business management. • Must be located within the Northeast U.S.; located between North Carolina and Massachusetts are preferred with the ability to travel regularly throughout the Northeast territory to support customer, partner, and team engagement. Knowledge and Skills: • Strong enterprise technology sales leadership with the ability to develop, coach, and motivate high-performing sales teams. • Strong understanding of enterprise compute, server, data center, hybrid cloud, AI infrastructure, and related technology solutions. • Ability to drive a hunting mentality and coach teams on pipeline creation, whitespace identification, market penetration, and new business development. • Strong strategic and tactical sales planning skills, including territory management, account prioritization, pipeline management, forecasting, and deal execution. • Ability to lead through change, establish clear direction, and drive consistent execution and accountability across a sales organization. • Strong executive presence with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior customer and partner leaders. • Ability to coach sellers through complex enterprise opportunities, including technical positioning, competitive strategy, IT investment considerations, and pricing. • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, competitive dynamics, sales performance, and business outcomes. • Strong understanding of enterprise sales methodologies and end-to-end sales process management. • Ability to build, develop, and retain talent while effectively addressing performance gaps. • Strong knowledge of the IT industry, technology trends, competitive landscape, and evolving enterprise customer needs. • Ability to work effectively across presales, channel, product/category, legal, and broader sales organizations to drive customer and business outcomes.
