Job Description:
  • Experience in product design and manufacturing technology.
  • Proficient with 2D drawing and 3D modeling using SolidWorks, PDM, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, FEA, and other design and analysis tools.
  • Design experience with sheet metal fabrication, plastic molding, casting, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in metal and polymer material selection.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles with the ability to apply hand calculations/handbook methods and FEA modeling where appropriate.
  • Strong hands-on ability to build test samples and operate test equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Strong understanding of failure modes and analysis, including how to set up analysis and test methods to ensure failure modes are clearly understood and margin to failure is quantified.
  • Comfortable developing test procedures, conducting functional testing, interpreting results, and correlating them with product performance.
  • bility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manufacturing setting.
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (including spreadsheets/databases).
  • Experience with Value Engineering in product design updates for cost reduction is preferred.
