Your Role in the Company

At Teledyne Controls, you help ensure the reliability and long-term availability of the electronic components that power our aircraft data management and avionics solutions. Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies, has been delivering innovative onboard avionics, wireless connectivity, and aircraft data solutions since 1964-helping commercial and military operators improve safety, compliance, and operational efficiency worldwide.

In this role, you work at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing, applying your electrical engineering knowledge to support product integrity across the full lifecycle-from design through sustainment.

What you'll do
  • Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to select components that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
  • Analyze Bills of Materials to verify part accuracy, lifecycle status, and sourcing strategy
  • Review schematics and design documentation to understand component function within circuit designs
  • Perform component and Bill of Materials reviews to identify obsolete, non-preferred, or high-risk parts and recommend qualified alternates
  • Maintain component records and approved alternates within internal databases
  • Track manufacturer change notices and end-of-life risks and support mitigation planning
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to prevent production or sustainment disruptions
  • Support component testing, evaluation, and technical impact assessments for substitutions
  • Assist with export control and tariff classifications for electronic components
  • Contribute to process improvements, including automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools
