Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience
Job Summary:We're seeking an experienced
Interim Compliance Manager to lead compliance operations across our affordable housing portfolio. If you're passionate about regulatory excellence, affordable housing, and strengthening communities, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities:- Ensure full compliance with LIHTC, HUD, USDA-RD, HOME, BOND, and other affordable housing programs.
- Supervise compliance staff and support lease-up activities.
- Conduct site visits, file audits, and manage regulatory inspections.
- Oversee HUD processes including EIV administration and special claims.
- Maintain compliance policies, procedures, and the Compliance Manual.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports.
- Build strong relationships with regulatory agencies and provide guidance to site and corporate teams.
- Deliver compliance training and support onboarding.
- Serve as Yardi Administrator for Affordable Housing modules and compliance data.
- Act as Section 504 Coordinator and manage reasonable accommodation requests.
- Stay current on regulatory updates and industry best practices.
Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in Affordable Housing Regulatory Compliance (HUD/LIHTC, USDA-RD, HOME, HCD, SHRA, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and affordable housing program requirements.
- Yardi Affordable Housing experience required.
- Skilled in leading teams, developing policies, and delivering training.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Industry certifications such as HCCP, SHCM, COS preferred.
