Full Job Description
Supports and promotes company initiatives and compliance with federal, state and other regulatory standards by providing a wide variety of highly responsible and complex administrative services in accordance with the mission and purpose of the organization. Responsible for conducting and supporting internal auditing functions across various departments, including financial aid, and completes comprehensive reports to be shared with the campus and institutional leadership. Assists with regulatory reporting, applications and compliance. Reviews internal and external communications and marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and operational requirements. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Performs compliance assessments remotely, or in person as requested, by reviewing the documents and data to confirm accuracy; populating assessment tools utilizing the information gathered; creating comprehensive assessment reports, action plans and presentations. • Regulatory compliance monitoring to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and internal policies. • Completes written audit reports and distributes to the Director and Vice President of Compliance for distribution to campuses and institutional leadership. • Create and follow up on corrective actions plans included in areas identified through assessments and audits; • Prepare and provide training to campus associates, as needed or on a set schedule, pertaining to compliance assessments, audits and reports. • Reviews marketing and internal/external communication materials, including websites and catalogs, to ensure information is accurate and in compliance with state and federal guidelines and the inclusion of the required disclosures. • Assists with the maintenance of enrollment documents and disclosures to ensure information is accurate and in compliance with state and federal guidelines; Updates enrollment documents as needed. • Assists with maintenance of internal compliance resources (e.g. state authorization lists). • Assists with federal and state regulatory reporting; Validates data and exhibits for accuracy within specific regulatory timelines. • Maintains database and physical copies of documents that demonstrate conformity to state and federal requirements. • Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and as required to meet the needs of the College/University and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly. • Maintains database and physical copies of documents that demonstrate conformity to state and federal requirements. • Maintains regular and timely attendance, reports to work as scheduled and as required to meet the needs of the College/University and assures time worked and/or time-off is recorded properly. • Adheres to College/University policies and procedures and conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the College/University's Code of Ethical Conduct, Compliance Agreement, Sexual Harassment Policy or any of its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. • Exercises care, proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies and identifies unsafe conditions and makes appropriate adjustments. • Maintains order, cleanliness and safety at work. • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications • Associate's Degree required. • Functional knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and compliance strongly preferred.General understanding of higher education federal regulations (e.g., ADA, FERPA, Title IX) required.Functional knowledge of state authorization regulations (e.g. BPPE, THECB, CIE) preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Advanced research skills preferred. Experience disbursing aid and calculating R2T4 preferred. Previous experience in auditing, quality assurance, or university administration preferred. Experience & Skills • Generally 4-6 years of relevant experience in higher education with an emphasis on areas related to regulatory compliance, auditing protocols, or Federal Title IV financial aid compliance. • Knows principles, theories, and concepts of compliance and auditing protocols through practical experience. • Experience in Higher Education at a Title IV eligible institution required. • Must be self-motivated, have strong accuracy and editorial skills and detail oriented with the ability to work independently with moderate supervision. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to work with discretion in preparing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature. • Ability to self-direct, self-pace, multi-task and function well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities. • Ability to comprehend and apply multiple sets of regulations to an individual situation. • Ability to understand compliance and regulatory issues in a highly ethnic and culturally diverse student and associate community. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. • Ability to effectively use interpersonal skills, follows through with duties, and provide attention to detail. • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports. #LI-MR1 #HEJ CA Salary Range USD $70,153.30 - USD $101,733.10 /Yr.
