Full Job Description
The Compliance Associate ensures the company's adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves managing compliance initiatives, conducting legal research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and support business objectives.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and support regulatory and legal compliance initiatives in a dynamic environment.
  • Advise on U.S. laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and relevant state/local requirements.
  • Review and provide compliance guidance for product development, operational practices, and platform enhancements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Conduct legal research and deliver clear, concise written analyses.
  • Collaborate with external counsel, vendors, and customers on compliance matters.
  • Identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to company practices and policies.
  • Partner with Product and Operations teams to develop and maintain compliance policies and SOPs; assist with audits and remediation.
  • Document compliance decisions and maintain team resources.
  • Support sales and customer-facing teams through calls, webinars, and RFP responses.
  • Perform additional compliance projects as assigned.


What You'll Need to be Successful:
  • 2+ years of experience in U.S. legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with FCRA, FTC, and CFPB regulations.
  • Working knowledge of employment background screening requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or equivalent legal education preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including virtual presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The salary range for this position is approximately $90,000-110,000 base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process
