Position Title: Compliance Coordinator

Salary Range: $115,000-$135,000 / Year, DOE

Own the compliance function. Have a seat at the table. Make an impact across an entire hospital.

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Coordinator to take ownership of the compliance program for a well-established regional healthcare organization. This is a highly autonomous role responsible for overseeing corporate compliance, monitoring regulatory requirements, investigating concerns, maintaining policies and procedures, and partnering directly with senior leadership, Quality, Risk Management, and other key stakeholders. With direct access to executive leadership and the authority to escalate significant compliance matters to the Board, this position offers meaningful influence across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an independent, confident healthcare compliance professional who understands the complexities of an acute care hospital environment and is ready to take full ownership of a compliance program while serving as a trusted resource to leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Own and oversee the hospital's corporate compliance program, ensuring ongoing adherence to healthcare laws, regulations and organizational standards
  • Monitor compliance activities, conduct reviews and investigate hotline reports, internal referrals and other potential compliance concerns
  • Develop, maintain and communicate compliance policies, procedures and expectations across employees, physicians, vendors and contractors
  • Partner with executive leadership, Quality, Risk Management and Legal to address compliance matters and escalate significant concerns directly to the Board when appropriate
  • Coordinate employee compliance education and training while promoting organization-wide awareness and accountability
  • Support hospital licensing and accreditation activities, regulatory inquiries and agency investigations while staying current on evolving healthcare regulations
  • Lead the Corporate Compliance Committee, coordinate the Ethics Committee, and participate in the Quality Council and other organizational committees

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of regulatory compliance experience with direct hospital or acute healthcare experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, accreditation requirements and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive compliance matters, investigations and regulatory requirements with discretion
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build credibility and work effectively with executives, physicians, medical staff, employees and other organizational stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage with benefits eligibility beginning the first of the month following hire
  • 403(b) retirement plan with a company match plus an additional employer contribution
  • Generous PTO starting at 23 days for employees with less than four years of service and increasing with tenure
  • Extended illness bank accruing at four hours per pay period for qualifying extended illnesses or injuries
  • Potentially negotiable sign-on and relocation assistance for the right candidate
  • Annual performance reviews and salary increases with long-term potential to expand the compliance function and grow the role

If you are ready to own a hospital compliance program, work directly with senior leadership and build your influence within an organization where compliance truly matters, we want to hear from you.
