Job Description:

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Policy, Procedure & Process Compliance Analyst to support the development, implementation, and oversight of compliant business systems and internal controls across our government contracting operations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring alignment with FAR, DFARS, and business system requirements (e.g., DFARS [redacted] and related clauses). You will work cross-functionally to design, document, and improve policies and processes that withstand audit scrutiny and enable operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and process narratives supporting government contracting compliance
  • Ensure alignment with DFARS business system requirements (e.g., Accounting, Purchasing, Estimating, MMAS)
  • Evaluate internal processes and controls for compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other regulatory standards
  • Support DCAA/DCMA audits and business system reviews, including documentation, walkthroughs, and corrective actions
  • Conduct internal compliance assessments and gap analyses; track remediation efforts
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Contracts, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure consistent process execution
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance
  • Maintain documentation repositories and ensure version control and audit readiness


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of experience in government contracting compliance, business systems, or internal controls
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DFARS Business System rules
  • Experience supporting DCAA/DCMA audits or Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and documenting policies, procedures, and process flows
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO)
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense or similarly regulated industry
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle)
  • Experience with business system implementations or remediation efforts
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CISA, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma)
  • Experience with risk management and compliance tools


$88,000 - $130,000 a year

Full-time regular employee offer package:

Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + Equity

Temporary employee offer package:

Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
