Role: Completions Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Completions Consultants to support well completion operations in an unconventional oil and gas environment. The successful candidate will provide on-site oversight, coordination, and technical support for completion activities while ensuring operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.

Candidates with Eagle Ford experience and a strong background in coil tubing, hydraulic fracturing, and toe preparation operations are highly preferred. This role requires extensive collaboration with field personnel, service providers, and engineering teams to deliver safe and cost-effective well completions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day completion operations from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate completion activities with service providers, field personnel, and engineering teams.
  • Monitor hydraulic fracturing, coil tubing, and toe preparation operations to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Review operational programs and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Track operational progress, costs, and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure operational readiness.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues while minimizing non-productive time.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-job meetings, safety discussions, and operational reviews.
  • Verify completion activities are properly documented and reported.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, operational summaries, and end-of-well documentation.
  • Support post-job evaluations and lessons-learned reviews.
  • Communicate operational updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Assist with vendor management and service quality assurance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in oil and gas completion operations.
  • Previous experience as a Completions Consultant, Completion Supervisor, Company Representative, or similar role.
  • Eagle Ford completion experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing coil tubing operations.
  • Experience supporting hydraulic fracturing operations.
  • Experience with toe preparation and wellbore cleanout activities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of completion equipment, procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Ability to interpret completion programs, operational reports, and technical data.
  • Knowledge of wellsite safety practices and risk management processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prepare detailed operational reports and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-stage horizontal well completions.
  • Knowledge of completion optimization techniques and performance analysis.
  • Experience managing contractors and service providers.
  • Familiarity with cost tracking and operational budgeting.
  • Experience working in unconventional resource plays.

Work Environment

  • Primarily field-based position supporting completion operations.
  • Frequent interaction with drilling, completion, production, and service company personnel.
  • Exposure to active wellsite operations and heavy equipment.
  • Extended work schedules, rotational assignments, and travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.

Position Details:

Location: Eagleford Basin

Pay Rate: $2100/ per day
