The Opportunity:

As a Competitive Assessment Lead, you will play a key role in strengthening CACI's strategic capture decision-making by developing independent, evidence-based assessments of CACI's competitive position on priority pursuits. This role will apply disciplined intelligence tradecraft, structured analysis, historical insights, and AI-enabled research to assess CACI's relative competitive position through the lens of likely customer evaluation outcomes.

The successful candidate will translate complex market and competitive information into clear assessments of relative competitive position with decision-ready implications. This role requires sound judgment, executive-ready communication, and the credibility to challenge assumptions constructively while partnering effectively across capture, business development, pricing, and line leadership.

Responsibilities:

Competitive Assessment and Analysis:
  • Lead independent, evidence-based competitive assessments for priority pursuits.
  • Assess CACI's relative position against likely competitors, customer priorities, and pursuit-specific dynamics.
  • Evaluate likely CACI and competitor strengths, vulnerabilities, discriminators, and evaluated position.
  • Assess CACI's likely relative competitive position, including assumptions that require evidence, calibration, or challenge.

Data-Driven Assessment Methodology:
  • Apply disciplined intelligence tradecraft and structured analytic techniques to assess competitive position.
  • Incorporate historical insights, market intelligence, AI-enabled research, and other relevant sources.
  • Distinguish evidence, assumptions, judgment, and confidence levels in assessment outputs.
  • Develop repeatable methods and feedback loops that improve consistency, transparency, and assessment quality over time.

Capture and PTW Integration:
  • Partner with capture, business development, strategic pricing, and line leadership to understand pursuit context and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop objective competitive insights that inform pursuit strategy, pricing decisions, and executive reviews.
  • Ensure assessment outputs are timely, consistent, and decision-ready for key capture milestones.
  • Translate findings into implications for capture strategy, pricing posture, and executive decision-making.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, business intelligence, capture support, business development, strategy, pricing, or government contracting market analysis.
  • Experience conducting market, customer, competitor, and opportunity research in the federal government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with federal market intelligence tools, business development systems, research platforms, and publicly available government contracting data sources.
  • Ability to synthesize structured and unstructured information into clear, evidence-based findings while distinguishing evidence, assumptions, and confidence levels.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly in written products, briefings, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across capture, business development, strategic pricing, and line leadership while constructively challenging assumptions.
  • Proficiency using AI-enabled research, collaboration, and data tools to synthesize information and produce decision-ready insights.
