Job Description Samaritan's Purse is seeking a
Compensation Manager to join our Human Resources team in
North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. In this role, you'll manage and lead in the establishment, administration, and maintenance of domestic and international compensation plans, programs, and processes under the guidance of the compensation philosophy and guidelines.
A day in the life of a Compensation Manager: In the role of
Compensation Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

- Ensure global and domestic compensation and salary administration adheres to established compensation philosophy, policies and consistent practices
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives
- Design and maintain domestic and international salary structures and grades. Partner with vendors to update, develop and deploy salary structures
- Manage annual salary planning process in collaboration with organization leaders. Advise on pay practices and decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation
- Partner with department leaders and HR Partners to review and develop position descriptions, job functions, and compensation benchmarking to implement adjustments and alignment as needed
- Perform expatriate and third country national (TCN) salary and allowance analysis and cost estimates
- Oversee salary survey participation and position matching for competitive review. Analyze results and present review and recommendations to leadership
- Provide consulting support and guidance to leadership, managers and employees with regard to compensation matters
- Assist with strategic workforce planning efforts to ensure organization has a plan for critical roles in response to changing internal and external factors
- Advise Samaritans Purse leadership on organization design and effectiveness best practices
- Oversee annual merit process, including but not limited to researching merit budget, preparing merit matrix, guidelines and communications. Review and recommend compensation policy as necessary, collaborate with HR and Managers on rating/merit calibration meetings during annual performance review process
- Remain knowledgeable of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure organization compliance
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelors degree in related field and at least five (5) years of related compensation experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires experience in compensation administration including, job analysis & evaluation, salary survey participation and analysis, and merit administration. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP) or other recognized compensation certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge and technical aptitude of compensation systems and practices
- Thorough grasp of HR policy and procedures with experience managing HR compliance and reporting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization
- Ability to collaborate and skillfully influence at all levels of the organization
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
