Description

This position is responsible for supporting the management of the attorney compensation programs for a 500+ attorney, private practice law firm. We value entrepreneurial self-starters who bring innovative solutions to the table. On a typical day you will:
  • Provides ongoing data and analysis support to the Attorney Compensation Manager
  • Responsible for data provision for the of the annual Associate Compensation process; the Counsel Compensation process; and the SHARE process
  • Provides routine analyses including monthly hours statistics, and quarterly/annual processes for special committees (REC, ISC, CEC etc.)
  • Ongoing document management and tracking as it relates to attorney contracts, incentives, special bonuses and attorney transitions
  • Works closely with Payroll staff to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all attorney payments
  • Create and maintain contract partner payment schedule
  • Ongoing tracking of hiring, departure and other status change information for attorneys and patent agents
  • Data support for lateral analyses and pay equity review as needed
  • Maintains Attorney Compensation SharePoint including updating structure and filing of all documents (lateral analyses, offer letters, ad hoc analyses, individual contracts, etc.)
  • Maintain and update team-built tools (lateral analysis tool, partner compensation cadence calculators, etc.)
  • Responsible for updating budget hours and administering year-end budget hours solicitation process
  • Responsible for updating credit allocations and administering year-end credit allocation process
  • Responsible for ad hoc credit allocation reporting
  • Responsible for tracking PTE tax opt-in process
  • Assist with internal and external survey data provision
  • Participates in team quality assurance activities

Join us if you have:
  • 2+ years in analyst/comp role, required
  • Must perform well under pressure and execute assignments with minimal direction; advanced skill level of standard MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Word and Power Point required. Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI and SQL applications preferred
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial and performance data, required
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail and ability to work under and meet reporting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of a professional services organization, including interpersonal skills, required
  • Previous experience in a law-firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment, strongly preferred
  • BA/BS required. Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred

Washington State

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $93,000 to $101,000 ($47.69 to $51.79 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

California

The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $90,000 to $99,000 (46.15 to $50.77 hourly); and in San Francisco is $105,000 to $115,000 ($53.85 to $58.97 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance.
