The Compensation Business Partner, North America is a key role within HR, partnering closely with the Senior Compensation Reward Business Partner to align reward strategy with business priorities. You will help shape and deliver a compelling total reward approach that supports talent outcomes and organizational performance, balancing global frameworks with local market and regulatory needs. This role interprets stakeholder requirements, monitors trends, and develops practical, innovative solutions within established policy and governance. Acting as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, you will provide guidance across compensation, benefits, talent acceleration, and reward governance.
Key responsibilities
Reward Partnership
Lead compensation and benefits-related projects tied to regulatory change, market competitiveness, and business transformation.
Develop reward approaches that enable attraction, retention and acceleration of critical and high-potential talent.
Work with the Talent CoE to integrate differentiated reward into talent development and career programs.
Assist with maintaining and updating local reward policies.
Make recommendations for continuous improvement and simplification of reward processes and practices in conjunction with broader HR Transformation framework.
Compensation Architecture & Governance
Identify improvements and drive consistency and accuracy of compensation frameworks, job architecture alignment and data standards.
Drive and embed reward governance principles across markets and employee segments.
Strategic Benefits Design
Help shape inclusive benefits strategy, with focus on equity and segment‑specific needs.
Identify opportunities to review and redesign benefit policies to reflect legislative changes and operational feasibility and build business case in partnership with the Benefits CoE.
Ensure employee experience remains central to all design and policy decisions.
Insights, Analytics & Thought Leadership
Provide strategic insights through reward analytics: internal parity, market positioning, policy impact modelling and financial forecasting.
Use external data and insights to advise HRBPs and business leaders on organizational health, risks and opportunities.
Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership
Lead stakeholder engagement across HR, Finance, Legal, business leaders and Global CoEs.
Drive end-to-end change management, communication and education for major reward initiatives.
Elevate reward literacy in HR and line managers via continuous education initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
5 years’ experience in Compensation.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver fit-for-purpose reward solutions within a global framework, providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice.
Working knowledge of North American (US & Canada) reward practices and market dynamics and the ability to translate insights into practical recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing diverse stakeholders.
Comfort with ambiguity; structured problem-solving skills and sound judgement in complex situations.
Simplification mindset, demonstrated through process improvement, standardization, and/or automation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a large, global organization, working within enterprise reward frameworks.
Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments.
Background in consumer goods, retail, or another fast-paced, highly commercial environment.
Experience partnering with US HR and business leaders; broader regional scope experience is a plus.
Workday experience to support job/compensation processes and reporting.
Location: This position is hybrid-based in Warren, NJ and will require 3 days a week in the office.
The salary range for this role is $110,122 - $151,418 + a 12% Target Bonus.
