About the Role

We're a fast-scaling, Series D/E AI-powered professional services platform with over 1,000 customers across 58+ countries - and we're hiring a Compensation Business Partner to join our People team embedded within our Engineering, Product & Design (EPD) organization.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a seasoned compensation professional who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and people. You'll be the go-to advisor for EPD leaders, helping us attract and retain world-class technical talent in one of the most competitive hiring markets in tech. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY, requiring at least three days per week in-office to stay closely embedded with the teams you support.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with EPD Leaders: Serve as a trusted compensation advisor to Engineering, Product & Design leaders - guiding decisions on candidate offers, promotions, and pay adjustments with a clear, data-driven approach that balances competitiveness, internal equity, and long-term impact.
  • Enable Recruiting: Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to craft compelling, market-aligned offers that land top candidates. Provide training, tools, and coaching so the recruiting team can confidently discuss compensation and equity with candidates.
  • Drive Market Insights: Analyze compensation survey data to set and continuously refine salary and equity ranges, ensuring the company stays competitive as the market evolves.
  • Support Compensation Programs: Contribute to the design and execution of compensation cycles, equity refresh programs, and job architecture frameworks - with a particular focus on EPD roles.
  • Simplify Complexity: Translate nuanced compensation concepts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences including executives, HRBPs, and individual contributors.
What We're Looking For

Required
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Compensation or HR, ideally within high-growth technology companies.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Engineering, Product & Design roles and the technology talent market.
  • Deep expertise in base pay, equity, benchmarking, and job architecture.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets; hands-on experience with compensation surveys and tooling.
  • Proven track record of partnering with executives, HRBPs, and recruiters to influence decisions and drive outcomes.
  • Excellent communicator - able to simplify complex compensation topics for a wide range of audiences.
  • Decisive and action-oriented; comfortable weighing competing priorities and moving things forward in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation strongly preferred.
