Job Overview

The Senior, Compensation is a Senior Manager equivalent individual contributor role responsible for serving as a compensation advisor to assigned business areas while providing sophisticated analytics and compensation expertise across base pay, incentive, and other compensation programs. This role partners with business leaders, HR partners, and Compensation team members to deliver guidance on compensation decisions, market competitiveness, and compensation program application.

Key responsibilities include one or more of the following: providing compensation consultation and recommendations to assigned business areas; conducting in-hire rate and pay change analyses; collaborating with Compensation team members and business partners to develop "what-if" models to assess the impact of compensation plan changes; supporting pilot and test-and-learn initiatives; researching and summarizing market trends and compensation best practices; researching, analyzing, and resolving complex compensation issues; supporting annual merit and incentive planning processes; and delivering sophisticated analytics and insights to inform compensation strategies and decisions. The colleague may also perform other duties as necessary.

What You Will Do
  • Provide compensation consultation and recommendations to assigned business areas, HR Business Partners, and leaders on pay decisions, compensation programs, market competitiveness, and compensation guidelines.
  • Assess payout trends and the effectiveness of compensation programs, including field incentive plans and salaried base pay programs.
  • Evaluate the return on investment and effectiveness of incentive programs and support the design of programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Translate complex analyses and reports into actionable insights and recommendations that inform business and compensation decisions.
  • Develop Excel-based and other analytical models to assess the financial, organizational, and colleague impact of proposed compensation program changes.
  • Conduct sophisticated analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and implications of pilots, test-and-learn initiatives, new programs, and compensation policies that support evolving business and talent needs.
  • Research market trends, compensation practices, and competitive data to support compensation strategy and program recommendations.
  • Develop and enhance tools, reporting, and resources that enable Business Partners and People Leaders to make informed compensation decisions.
  • Partner with Compensation team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support annual compensation planning activities, including merit, incentive, and other compensation programs.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and continuous improvement-oriented work environment.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Compensation, HR Analytics, Finance, or a related analytical environment with experience analyzing and interpreting large data sets required.
  • Experience advising leaders and business partners on compensation-related matters, including pay decisions, compensation programs, and market competitiveness preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, including Oracle HCM, preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with Microsoft Access, VBA, Power BI, or similar analytical tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, consultation, and presentation skills, with a commitment to open and continuous communication.
  • Excellent relationship-building, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively when solving business and compensation-related challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
