Job Description:

Role Definition

The Communications Specialist will partner with leaders and cross-functional enterprise teams to shape messaging and drive alignment that advance the Drivetrain organization's business objectives. In this role, you'll lead and execute strategic communications initiatives that support the Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions (IDES) division and enterprise wise priorities. You'll also collaborate with the broader segment communications team to ensure consistency and impact across channels and audiences.

What You Will Do
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing strategic communications support, ensuring clarity, alignment and momentum across the East Peoria (Building KK) facility. Facility communications:
    • Maintenance or safety related
    • Inclement weather
    • Crisis management
    • Project Updates & Stories
    • Retirement & Anniversary celebrations
    • Facility website (SharePoint)
    • Digital signs
  • Develop, own and execute comprehensive communications plans including messaging and materials that inform, inspire and align employees to business strategy and customer objectives
  • Create clear, compelling content for employee communication channels including written communications, presentations, recognition stories, project updates and more as needed.
  • Act as a Brand Advocate and uphold brand standards by maintaining a consistent tone and style across all content, adhering to brand guidelines and voice
    • Ensuring proper usage of brand with sponsorships
    • Presentations

  • Embrace technology and innovation to reach and engage audiences in new and creative ways i.e. social media

Degree Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.


What you must have
  • Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Trust: Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Copywriting and Editing: Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.
  • Internal Communications: Knowledge of techniques and media for internal communications; ability to produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees.
  • Multimedia Technologies: Knowledge of multimedia publishing technologies and procedures; ability to use installed audio, visual and animation software tools to produce multimedia publications.

  • This position will close at 11:59 p.m. on 09/04/2026.
  • This position will be located onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL (Building KK).
  • Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

  • This position may require less than 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
