Job Summary: Communications Manager, Unison Risk Advisors & Oswald Companies

The Communications Manager is responsible for shaping and advancing Oswald's communications strategy across internal, external, executive and brand channels. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer of Unison Risk Advisors and Oswald Companies, and working closely with firm leadership, this role leads the communications function with a strong emphasis on design and visual storytelling, brand expression and content marketing.

The Communications Manager oversees message development, creative execution, content strategy and channel management to strengthen brand reputation, support business priorities, and deepen engagement with employees, clients, prospects and partners across the portfolio. This role serves a dual purpose in supporting the Unison Risk Advisors holding company and its largest partner company, Oswald Companies.

A Day in The Life:

Communications Strategy, Planning and Production
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with Oswald's and Unison Risk Advisors' business priorities, brand positioning and growth objectives.
• Partner with executive leaders and key stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into clear, compelling messaging for internal and external audiences.
• Create communications plans, editorial calendars and campaign frameworks that connect storytelling, business priorities and audience needs.
• Continuously evaluate and refine communications strategies based on engagement data, market dynamics and organizational priorities.
• Produce, edit and manage original content, internally and externally as assigned.
• Support content and editorial team members across the portfolio with their growth, development and quality assurance.
• Work in direct collaboration with the Oswald and Unison Risk Advisors RFP Response team, to advance content, streamline brand messaging and enhance proposals across the enterprise.

Leadership, Collaboration and Governance
• Serve as a communications driver for Oswald Companies and Unison Risk Advisors, partnering across the portfolio to align messaging, protect brand integrity and support enterprise priorities.
• Manage communications-related budgets, vendor relationships and agency partnerships across creative, content and production needs.
• Develop and enforce communications standards, review processes and governance to ensure consistency, quality and compliance across channels and business units.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration for major initiatives including acquisitions, human resources, integrations, leadership communications, employee communications and reputation-sensitive matters.

Brand, Design and Visual Storytelling
• Support the design and visual function for Oswald, ensuring a strong, consistent and modern brand expression across all communications and marketing touchpoints.
• Oversee creative direction, visual standards and brand guidelines for presentations, digital assets, campaigns, events, social media and executive communications.
• Guide the development of visual storytelling that enhances message clarity, audience engagement and brand differentiation.
• Protect and evolve the brand through thoughtful stewardship of identity, tone, design quality and communications compliance.
• Support the graphic design team members.

Content Marketing and Digital Channels
• Support the content marketing function, including editorial strategy, thought leadership, website content, email communications, social media, video, webinars and campaign storytelling.
• Oversee content development workflows from concept through publication, ensuring messaging alignment, strong writing and high-quality creative execution. Produce original content as assigned.
• Use audience insights, channel performance and analytics to optimize content strategy, distribution and engagement.
• Stay ahead of digital communications, content and design trends to continuously strengthen reach, relevance and impact.

Corporate, Executive and External Communications
• Directly support the Chief Marketing Officer for internal, external and executive communications, including leadership messaging, press releases, crisis communications, intranet content, announcements and special initiatives.
• Develop messaging frameworks and communication materials that support reputation management, change initiatives and key business milestones.
• Support visibility-building opportunities such as speaking engagements, sponsorship communications, community partnerships and executive thought leadership.
• Advance and maintain interactive intranet channels for Unison Risk Advisors and partners.

Audience Engagement and Campaign Execution
• Develop integrated communication campaigns that support brand awareness, business development priorities, talent engagement and enterprise initiatives.
• Create compelling messaging and content assets that help teams communicate value clearly and consistently across audiences.
• Partner with marketing, sales and business leaders to align communication strategies with growth opportunities and organizational priorities.
• Ensure campaigns are executed with strong creative, clear messaging and measurable outcomes across channels.

Communications Operations and Measurement
• Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of communications, content and channel performance.
• Implement tools, workflows and governance that improve efficiency, quality and consistency across content creation, design and communications production.
• Analyze data and audience insights to identify opportunities for optimization, stronger engagement and continuous improvement.

What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, English, business or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in communications, brand, content marketing or related leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading creative, design or visual brand functions alongside enterprise communications and content strategy.
