The RoleThe Communications Manager role will blend external and internal communications expertise, including managing corporate social content, public relations / media relations, and employee engagement. The job is highly visible and will require answering to c-suite executives.
What You'll Do- Ideate and execute thought-leadership programs for CEO and CPO, including proactive media relations, podcasts & events
- Create and foster media relationships to drive company coverage
- Analyze and track global coverage and develop and execute newsjacking ideas
- Assist in drafting/editing briefing docs, pitch notes, and press releases
- Own Tala's corporate content: website, blog, and social, awards submissions
- End-to-end ownership of employer engagement initiatives: social amplification, slack channels, internal meetings and other internal communications efforts
- Collaborate with the People team to assist in initiative roll-outs (e.g., working norms, pulse surveys)
What You'll Need- 5+ years experience in communications in-house or agency
- Strong communicator that can implement strategies across different channels
- Strong understanding of crypto and AI
- Strong relationships with key media, reporters, and stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of corporate communications strategies including PR & owned content (e.g., blog, social media)
- Strong analytical skills to measure and optimize content performance
- Creative problem solver and fast learner
- Ability to work cross functionally with different teams and handle sensitive information
- Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadline
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

$100,000 - $130,000 a year
