As an Internal Communication Manager, you will help connect employees to our strategy, priorities, culture and business objectives through compelling, impactful and measurable communications. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans that help employees understand not only what the organization is focused on, but also how their work contributes to overall success.

As a member of the Communication team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives, providing strategic counsel, messaging guidance and communication support for organizational priorities, business transformations, leadership visibility initiatives and employee engagement efforts.

Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, executive influence, storytelling expertise, change management capability and digital and AI fluency. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, translating complex information into meaningful employee experiences and leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance communication effectiveness, efficiency and impact.

This role also plays a key role in measuring communication effectiveness, generating insights and continuously refining strategies to maximize employee understanding, engagement and business impact. The goal is simple: create clear, authentic and engaging communication experiences that inform, inspire and connect employees to the company's vision and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Communications & Strategic Advisement
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders and executives, helping shape messaging, engagement strategies and communication approaches that advance business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee communication strategies that align leadership messaging with organizational priorities, values and culture.
  • Provide counsel on sensitive topics, organizational change initiatives, business transformations and employee engagement opportunities.
  • Translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse employee audiences.
  • Anticipate communication risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations and solutions.

Strategic Communications Planning
  • Partner with executives, business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand communication needs and organizational priorities.
  • Design and execute integrated communication strategies and campaigns that support business goals and enhance employee understanding and engagement.
  • Identify audience needs and tailor messaging, channels and content accordingly.
  • Develop innovative approaches that improve employee reach, understanding and action while enhancing communication effectiveness.


Change Leadership & Employee Engagement
  • Lead communication efforts that support organizational change, transformation initiatives and evolving business priorities.
  • Create clear and engaging communication plans that help employees understand, navigate and embrace change.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure employees remain informed, supported and connected during periods of transition.
  • Develop communication strategies that strengthen culture, foster inclusion, and elevate the employee experience.

Communications Channels, Technology & Innovation
  • Champion innovative communication practices, technologies and digital experiences across the organization.
  • Manage and optimize communication channels, platforms and content ecosystems to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools, automation and emerging technologies to enhance content development, personalization, measurement and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate evolving trends in internal communications, employee experience and workplace technology, identifying opportunities to modernize communication practices.
  • Ensure all communications maintain high standards of quality, consistency, accessibility and brand alignment.

Project & Event Communications
  • Lead communication planning and execution for high-profile organizational initiatives, leadership events, town halls and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver communication plans that drive awareness, engagement and business outcomes.
  • Recommend and utilize the most effective communication channels, formats and experiences to reach intended audiences.

Measurement, Insights & Continuous Improvement
  • Use data, analytics, employee feedback and business insights to evaluate communication effectiveness and inform decision-making.
  • Develop measurable objectives and success metrics for communication initiatives.
  • Analyze trends and employee sentiment to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously evolve communication strategies and practices based on results, industry benchmarks and emerging best practices.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Human Resources, Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, change management or a related strategic communication function.
  • Proven experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders, with the executive presence, confidence and strategic mindset to influence outcomes, challenge thinking respectfully and provide thoughtful communications counsel.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex business information into clear, engaging and actionable communications.
  • Strong consulting and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience developing and executing communication strategies that support organizational change and business transformation.
  • Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data and feedback to measure effectiveness and improve outcomes.
  • Curiosity and passion for emerging communication trends, technologies, and employee experience best practices.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency and digital curiosity, with the ability to responsibly leverage generative AI and emerging technologies to enhance communication strategy, improve employee experiences, streamline workflows and drive more data-informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams and digital communication platforms.

  • Candidates should be prepared to provide at least two business writing samples.


Additional Information

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $95,000 + bonus potential of up to $11,000.
