Commodity Manager About the RoleWe're seeking a
Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships that drive efficiency, reduce risk, and deliver value for customers. This is a
hands-on role where you'll influence global procurement strategies and work directly with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
Location: Wood Dale, IL (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite)
Reports to: Global Procurement Director
What You'll Do- Manage material spend of $15M-$25M, ensuring cost optimization and supply continuity.
- Develop and negotiate supplier contracts that minimize TCO and improve quality.
- Lead PPV/VAVE projects and cross-functional workshops to identify savings opportunities.
- Drive working capital improvements through inventory reduction, lead time optimization, and innovative solutions like consignment and 3PL.
- Conduct RFQs, analyze quotes, and perform cost breakdowns to secure best commercial terms.
- Support manufacturing sites with supplier performance issues related to quality and delivery.
- Deliver measurable results aligned with KPIs and strategic goals.

Qualifications- 1-3 years in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- BS in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Strong project management skills and financial acumen.
- Ability to travel as needed.

This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $89,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
