Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in McClellan Park, CA is $102,731 to $135,354 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Establish best in class supply-chain-management processes focused on productivity, quality, and availability. Derive innovative material field strategies based on market intelligence, gear procurement processes towards strategic objectives. Manage the total Purchasing Volume (PVO) of assigned commodities. Ensure implementation and development of the company's strategy, for assigned commodities. Drive supplier management processes to obtain the best suppliers and ensure transparency and early integration. Lead supplier management in commercial issues, supplier qualification, development, and overall relationship management. Negotiate master procurement agreements, including pricing, terms & conditions, payment terms in alignment with the wider company's community. Apply supply market intelligence, the company's spend pooling, and all commercial and technical levers to drive productivity. Identify and qualify new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and lead supplier relationships to ensure alignment with company objectives and standards. Conduct the company's spend data, supply market intelligence, supplier analysis. Develop and implement, with cross functional input, commodity strategies, pooling strategies, supplier strategies & negotiation roadmap. Leverage supplier expertise and/or technology to harness improvements in reducing total costs of ownership. Collaborate with global commodity management and/or product management while optimizing company-wide buying power by reviewing the financial, quality, pricing, service, and availability level of suppliers. Develop supplier relationships resulting in optimized supply chain efficiencies and security of supply. Evaluate supplier's capabilities and capacities while implementing plans to ensure adequate supply of goods and services. Negotiate agreements with suppliers that mitigate or spread the overall risk.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Commodity Management Professional-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and working with large data sets; Working with the entire supply chain process and cost drivers; Working with data and financial analysis; Developing and executing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and supply chain improvements; Reviewing and negotiating contract terms to align with company policies and protect business interests, ensuring clear, enforceable, and mutually agreed-upon language; Working with supply chain principles, supplier risk management, and regulatory compliance. Telecommuting and/or working from home is permitted pursuant to company policy. 20% of domestic travel is required.
