Full Job Description
FST Technical Services Commissioning (Cx) division is one of the leading Cx firms in the country. We partner with clients for quality assurance in the design, construction, and post-acceptance phases of building projects. We ensure that equipment in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems are designed, installed, and functionally tested to meet the clients requirements and design intent.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and delivering complex data center commissioning projects from initiation through completion. This role requires strong client interface skills, technical project management expertise, financial forecasting capabilities, and the ability to lead teams to ensure successful outcomes. The Project Manager will also provide mentorship and guidance to support the development of engineering staff within the region. In addition, the individual will focus on providing technical oversight and support to the team within the region while ensuring strong client engagement and effective project delivery.
Essential Functions:
  • Engineering Mentorship / Leadership
    • Provide leadership and support, as assigned, to support the growth and development of other engineering staff members.
    • Participate in company training and safety initiatives.
  • Client Maintenance / Quality Assurance
    • Act as a strong client interface, maintaining and fostering long-term relationships.
    • Involved in high-level client maintenance to provide assurance that the quality of services delivered are closely examined and under scrutiny.
  • Project & Program Management
    • Provide technical project management expertise to ensure delivery of complex engineering initiatives.
    • Utilize project management software and tools to effectively plan, track, and deliver projects.
    • Contribute to financial forecasting and resource planning for assigned projects.
  • Revenue Generating Activities
    • Support company revenue targets by leading or supporting existing projects as assigned.
    • Project assignments will be based on areas of expertise, relationship with the client, and other strategic client initiatives.
    • Must be capable of meeting billing utilization targets set.
  • Business Development
    • Develop strong client relationships that will be the foundation:
      • for development and approval of change orders on existing projects.
      • Consideration / attainment of future projects with said client.
  • Other
    • Participate in any special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of engineering experience.
  • P.E., LEED AP, or CCP a plus.
  • Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated technical project management experience with the ability to utilize PM software.
  • Experience in financial forecasting and resource planning.
  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present in front of groups.
  • Team Lead experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness, capable of lifting 30 pounds or more and climbing ladders.
  • Willingness to travel

Salary Range: $130,000 to $160,000
