Job DetailsSite Commissioning Manager This individual will play a critical role in the delivery of new data center capacity, partnering closely with construction, engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure successful commissioning of mission critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on site leadership opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and enjoys driving complex projects through completion.
Key Responsibilities - Lead commissioning efforts for assigned data center construction projects from pre-functional testing through final turnover
- Coordinate closely with construction managers, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive project execution across scope, schedule, quality, and issue resolution
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure systems are commissioned to client standards
- Support execution of testing activities across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and controls systems
- Conduct site inspections and monitor commissioning readiness
- Track milestones, risks, open issues, and project progress; provide regular updates to leadership
- Manage third-party commissioning agents and vendor partners
- Participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings and cross-functional project reviews
- Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and standardization efforts across the commissioning program
- Work independently across multiple project sites within the metro area as needed
Required Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in data center construction, mission critical facilities, commissioning, industrial construction, or related infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience supporting commissioning, startup, turnover, or closeout activities
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a construction environment
- Experience with QA/QC processes, field inspections, and issue resolution
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in active construction environments and fully onsite
- OSHA 30 certification
- NFPA 70E certification
Preferred Qualifications - Data center or hyperscale infrastructure experience
- Experience commissioning MEP and controls systems
- PMP or formal project management training
- Prior experience managing third-party commissioning teams
