Site Commissioning Manager

This individual will play a critical role in the delivery of new data center capacity, partnering closely with construction, engineering, operations, and vendor teams to ensure successful commissioning of mission critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on site leadership opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced construction environments and enjoys driving complex projects through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commissioning efforts for assigned data center construction projects from pre-functional testing through final turnover
  • Coordinate closely with construction managers, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive project execution across scope, schedule, quality, and issue resolution
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure systems are commissioned to client standards
  • Support execution of testing activities across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and controls systems
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor commissioning readiness
  • Track milestones, risks, open issues, and project progress; provide regular updates to leadership
  • Manage third-party commissioning agents and vendor partners
  • Participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings and cross-functional project reviews
  • Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and standardization efforts across the commissioning program
  • Work independently across multiple project sites within the metro area as needed
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in data center construction, mission critical facilities, commissioning, industrial construction, or related infrastructure environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting commissioning, startup, turnover, or closeout activities
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a construction environment
  • Experience with QA/QC processes, field inspections, and issue resolution
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in active construction environments and fully onsite
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • NFPA 70E certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center or hyperscale infrastructure experience
  • Experience commissioning MEP and controls systems
  • PMP or formal project management training
  • Prior experience managing third-party commissioning teams
