Full Job Description
The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our growing Technical Services team. In this role, you will with support from Sr. Cx Engineer or Lead Cx Engineer, lead commissioning activities on a narrow variety of projects (typically focusing on one of the following: NCCx or EBCx) and systems to validate proper installation. Performs review of basis of design, MEP drawings, submittals, and construction reports. Creates Cx plan, FPT's and manages the project from start to finish. Finalizes the Cx report documentation and site reporting. Finalize system manual, O-logs, and other Cx documents. Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Manage project specific pre-start, start-up, and test-adjust-balance field work.
  • Conduct Cx coordination meetings as needed with owner, project management, contractor, and other Cx team members as defined in the Cx plan.
  • Develop a project specific training agenda and manage the systems training.
  • Represent McKinstry at project specific Cx coordination meetings.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback regarding the design, equipment selection, test and balance requirements, maintainability, and potential enhancements of the system.
  • Communicate noted Cx issues, questions, and concerns through proper channels in a timely manner.

The pay range for this position is $76,320 - $122,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
