Full Job Description
Industry: Power Generation
Pay: $180-210k base + benefits + travel per diem
Duration: Full-time hire (this project approx. 7 months)

Job Description Summary


Execution of commissioning works related to the discipline in charge, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing, and inspection/measurement activities as defined by COM LE / COMM
  • Report deviations from agreed goals and initiate corrective actions in coordination with COM LE / COMM
  • Maintain full awareness of site-specific rules, safety regulations, and environmental protection measures, ensuring compliance at all times
  • Actively participate in daily commissioning management activities and site meetings
  • Track and control commissioning support resources (technicians, craft labor, etc.)
  • Prepare, manage, coordinate, and monitor commissioning of assigned systems in a safe and timely manner
  • Execute commissioning in accordance with specifications and engineering documentation, adhering to safety and regulatory requirements
  • Support safe plant operations from system turnover through COD (shift plans, logs, safety procedures, etc.)
  • Support system turnover:
    • Installation → Commissioning
    • Commissioning → Client
  • Manage and work through open item lists for assigned systems
  • Ensure all commissioning, operational, quality, and feedback documentation is completed and issued
  • Manage the Red/Green Report
  • Support commissioning staff planning and ensure full resource utilization
  • Report and track all technical and commercial deviations with proper documentation until resolution
  • Implement EHS procedures, including:
    • Method statements
    • Risk analyses
    • Safety walks
    • Toolbox talks
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with all EHS requirements
HRSG Commissioning Responsibilities
  • Perform system flushing, function group startup, and adjustments
  • Execute HRSG cleaning, blowout, and restoration activities
  • Support HRSG startup in:
    • Manual mode
    • Automated control mode
    • Part load and base load tuning
  • Prepare and execute:
    • HRSG testing
    • Performance testing
    • Reliability runs
  • Validate systems using P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Support instrumentation setup and testing, including:
    • Pressure transmitters
    • Temperature transmitters
    • Vibration detectors
    • Position switches
  • Perform logical checks, including:
    • System manipulation on-site
    • Safety function testing
Required Qualifications
