The Commercial Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on expanding market share within local commercial accounts while delivering exceptional customer support and identifying opportunities for long-term partnerships. The Territory Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them identify the right solutions to meet their business needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage relationships with new and existing customers to grow sales of products and services within the assigned territory.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within local market accounts and targeted prospects.
Provide product expertise and recommend solutions based on customer needs, technical specifications, and applicable regulations.
Prepare proposals and negotiate pricing, terms of sale, and service agreements.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering responsive service and building strong, long-term relationships that encourage repeat business.
Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis to meet or exceed sales targets.
Maintain regular communication with key accounts and monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, service support, and customer success.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced sales representatives when needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum of 1 year of related sales, account management, or customer-facing experience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, actively listen, influence decisions, negotiate effectively, and manage time efficiently.
Working knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including product promotion, demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales management processes.
Understanding of customer service principles and practices, including assessing customer needs, delivering high-quality service, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Intermediate industry and product knowledge, or the ability to quickly learn and apply technical product information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

This position offers a base salary and a commission-based plus bonus incentive plan. The total target compensation range for this role is $82,800 to $108,675 (65% base salary plus 35% commission, assuming attainment at plan), and the role also qualifies for additional business objectives incentives. Compensation is based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education. This is a replacement role with one open position.
