Full Job Description
The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of assigned construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents and company quality standards. This role leads on-site operations, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, enforces safety and cleanliness, and works closely with the Commercial Project Manager to deliver successful projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Field Operations & Schedule Execution
  • Direct and coordinate daily on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Plan daily and weekly work activities to ensure efficient sequencing and productivity.
  • Ensure work areas are prepared and ready for each subcontractor prior to mobilization.

Subcontractor & Trade Partner Management
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on-site.
  • Inspect subcontractor work daily to ensure compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
  • Follow up on deficient or incomplete work and verify corrective actions are completed.
  • Participate in trade partner and supplier evaluations and grading.

Quality Control
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship meet company standards and project specifications.
  • Verify installations comply with approved submittals, plans, and details.
  • Conduct and document quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety & Site Management
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site at all times.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident reporting as required.
  • Monitor site conditions and weather impacts and adjust work activities accordingly.

Code Compliance & Inspections
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Work with county and municipal personnel to resolve site, permit, or inspection-related issues.

Coordination & Communication
  • Coordinate closely with the Commercial Project Manager on schedule, scope, and field impacts.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings, subcontractor meetings, and company meetings.
  • Communicate progress, issues, and risks proactively to the project team.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily reports, field logs, and photo documentation.
  • Track manpower, work progress, and site conditions.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspections.

  • Represent the company professionally with owners, inspectors, and trade partners.
  • Support company initiatives, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education/Experience
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Lead Foreman on commercial construction projects.
    • Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and on-site construction activities.
    • Must have a valid driver's license

Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 DOE
