Full Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Integrator to support Space Systems Command's Kronos Family of Systems and Battle Management Command, Control & Communications (BMC3) portfolio. This role serves as the primary bridge between commercial technology providers, government stakeholders, and operational programs, helping transition cutting-edge capabilities from prototype to production in support of mission-critical Space Force operations.

Work Environment:

Full-time, on-site role in Colorado Springs, CO supporting the Horizon Program and Space Systems Command's BMC3 portfolio. This position works closely with government program offices, commercial technology providers, systems engineers, and acquisition professionals to accelerate the delivery of next-generation space capabilities to the warfighter.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary integration lead for CSO-selected technologies supporting Space Force BMC3 initiatives.
  • Track commercial solutions through the full lifecycle, including assessment, prototyping, testing, demonstration, transition, and operational deployment.
  • Develop and manage integration roadmaps, schedules, risk registers, dependencies, transition plans, and decision milestones.
  • Coordinate technical assessments, cybersecurity evaluations, demonstrations, interface development, and operational testing activities.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Systems Engineers, Contracting Officers, software teams, and commercial vendors to resolve integration challenges.
  • Support transition planning activities, including architecture updates, infrastructure requirements, accreditation efforts, sustainment planning, and production readiness.
  • Assist with acquisition activities, including Statements of Work (SOWs), technical evaluations, cost estimates, acquisition strategies, and transition agreements.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements, actions, risks, dependencies, and testing activities using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ensure successful integration of commercial capabilities into existing Programs of Record and operational environments.
  • Provide programmatic and technical recommendations to government leadership supporting rapid capability fielding initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience in systems engineering, acquisition, program management, software integration, technology transition, or related DoD disciplines; or Master's degree with 12+ years; or PhD with 10+ years.
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, systems engineering efforts, or technology transition initiatives.
  • Experience integrating software, data, or operational capabilities into existing systems or Programs of Record.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, program management, systems engineering, and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience using collaboration and requirements management tools including Jira , Confluence , and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational, communication, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess an in-scope T5 background investigation adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in Continuous Vetting (if applicable).
  • Must be willing to obtain SCI and/or SAP access .
  • Must be willing to consent to a polygraph examination.

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting Commercial Solutions Openings (CSO) , Other Transaction Authorities (OTA) , rapid prototyping, Middle Tier Acquisition, or Software Acquisition Pathway programs.
  • Experience transitioning commercial technologies from prototype or demonstration efforts into operational programs.
  • Experience supporting National Security Space, Space Force, or Battle Management/Command & Control programs.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional integration efforts involving government, industry, engineering, cybersecurity, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and briefing skills supporting executive leadership and senior government decision makers.

Compensation:
  • Pay range: $150,000 - $235,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
