Compensation:$90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary + CommissionWe are seeking an experienced
Commercial Roofing Estimator to support our continued expansion. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, developing competitive proposals, and helping secure profitable commercial roofing projects.
Position SummaryThe Commercial Roofing Estimator will review project documents, perform takeoffs, develop detailed cost estimates, and work closely with operations and business development teams to win new business. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and experienced in commercial roofing systems and estimating practices.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform roofing takeoffs and cost analyses.
- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projects.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Develop competitive bids while maintaining profitability objectives.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Coordinate with project managers during project handoff and execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, consultants, property managers, and building owners.
- Track bid opportunities and maintain estimating records.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities and alternative roofing solutions.
QualificationsRequired- 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal roofing, and related systems.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience using estimating and takeoff software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred- Experience with The Edge, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, RoofSnap, or similar software.
- Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.
- Established relationships within the commercial construction industry.
