GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Associate performs a wide range of complex analytical and high-level support functions. With limited supervision, this position applies analytical skills to provide consistent data and reporting support for the Commercial Real Estate team. This role may also provide oversight of Analysts and CAPs (Commercial Associate Program) to ensure the production of a high-quality work product. Manages and maintains models and presentation materials so that they are accurate and up-to-date and meet the needs and objectives of the team.
The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues ,and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and understand complex financial models.
- Perform complex financial analysis with minimal oversight.
- Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
- Understanding of capital structures and capital market trends and the ability to apply to client needs.
- Complete credit and financial statement analysis independently.
- Coordinate with product partners to develop integrated financing solutions and pitch materials for our clients.
- Work well as part of a team in a high stress environment.
- Participate in the closing process as a liaison to our clients, counsel and internal partners.
- Facilitate communication regarding approvals, 3rd party reports, insurance, budget, hedging products, title and escrow, operating and reserve accounts.
- Develop good working relationships with peers, product partners and senior bankers throughout the organization.
- Effective communication with internal partners regarding approvals, changes, process, and timing.
- Manage priorities while working on a number of high-priority opportunities simultaneously.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct reports, however incumbent may provide general direction for Analysts and Commercial Leadership Program participants.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred.
- 2+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate or related field.
- Strong credit underwriting and CRE banking skills required.
- Strong analytic skills and good working knowledge of financial modeling.
- Working knowledge of Argus and cashflow modeling.
- Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
- Position is in the office a minimum of four days per week.
- Extended viewing of a CRT screen.

Total Base Pay Range 61,200.00 - 125,500.00 USD Annual
