A Snapshot of Your Day (Position Overview)

Siemens Energy Gas Services Central Large Gas Turbine Manufacturing is hiring a Cost Controlling Financial Analyst to be an integral member of this highly visible, dynamic, and hard-working team. As a member of the finance team, you will have primary responsibility for Transfer Price Development, Commercial offerings/bids, collaborating with technical and financial partners in support of project execution, and related activities.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Preparation of internal proposals for large gas turbines, leading commercial aspects of tender preparation up to bid submission and post-bid follow-up.
  • Commercial order processing; collaborate in the execution and commercial coordination of customer orders.
  • Creation and monitoring of cost calculations; prepare, validate, and continuously track project cost estimates, with responsibility for accuracy and maintenance of transfer prices.
  • Financial execution of turbine projects, including product costing for New App Gas Turbines, project estimation, invoicing, project controlling, forecasting, and reporting of financial status.
  • Responsible for commercial aspects of Gas Turbine project execution, including project cost controlling; maintain project financials from order entry through project closeout, ensuring proper revenue recognition, timely invoicing, and identification of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Technical Project/Order Managers, Planners, Procurement, and others; ensure accuracy of project books and records, maintain compliance with financial guidelines, and work closely with finance on forecast developments and communication of deviations.
What You Bring (Requirements)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance/accounting, including extensive experience with SAP system tools and forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial analysis, and financial reporting skills, with a desire to understand the reality behind the numbers; familiar with a variety of financial concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Highly organized with transparency in reporting and a high level of data accuracy.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, identify and resolve issues independently, and demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to train and educate others.
