Full Job Description
Commercial Materials Manager

The Commercial Materials Manager executes purchasing decisions based on market conditions, manages supplier relationships, and resolves related issues. Critical aspects of this position involve maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and fiscal year procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, on-time delivery, support, availability, and other factors relevant to the organization
  • Execute stock replenishment while making buying decisions based on current market conditions with respect to quantities, order minimums or prepaid terms and mode of transportation.
  • Communicate with suppliers concerning order priority, status, and delivery.
  • Identify opportunities and implement resolutions to promote continuous improvement within the Materials Department
  • Review inventory reports daily for accuracy and resolve count issues
  • Oversee annual cycle counts and fiscal year inventory procedures
  • Work with supervisors/managers in other departments to ensure inventory supports production demands, as needed, to result in expected output
  • Coordinate with Sales & Engineering for new product introductions
  • Partner with Aebi-Schmidt Strategic Purchasing on annual cost reduction initiatives
  • Support the implementation of Lean initiatives throughout the facility
