Note:This role is a hybrid position with the expectation to work onsite (3) three days a week in the Ericsson office located in Boise, ID or Plano, TX. Relocation is not offered for this position.

About this opportunity

Ericsson is looking for a skilled Commercial Manager WWAN to join our team in the US. This is a key strategic position that plays a critical part in helping Ericsson achieve its business goals. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple teams and organizations to develop well-informed commercial recommendations that deliver the right solutions to meet customer needs. Strong technical and commercial acumen are essential to generating optimized recommendations, growing Ericsson's commercial intelligence, and amplifying our strategic value.

What you will do

  • Develop and align commercial strategies and tactics to help increase Ericsson's win rate
  • Support Sales teams in building optimized, competitive business cases for customers and Ericsson
  • Build models and recommendations to optimize revenue and margins
  • Lead package list price-setting in collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain
  • Serve as a key connection point between Product Management and Supply Chain to improve solution economics
  • Partner with Product Management to define service and subscription packaging
  • Create and evaluate alternative business and commercial models
  • Strengthen competitive understanding to enhance commercial intelligence and Sales/Channel Partner negotiation approaches
  • Stay current on product strategy and new offerings through ongoing engagement with the Product Organization
  • Collaborate with the Channel organization to align Ericsson's commercial models with partner routes to market
  • Identify revenue opportunities through strategic tendering and knowledge sharing across teams


Location: Boise, Idaho (preferred) or Plano, Texas. No immigration or relocation is offered for this role.

The skills you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Management, Deal Desk, Pricing, or Channel Partner Management in cellular enterprise networking
  • Experience with Cloud and SaaS platforms, subscription-based packaging, and recurring revenue models
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Financial and business acumen - assess revenue, profitability, margin, cash flow, investment, and future business impact; build or interpret business cases and financial models.
  • Pricing expertise - Understanding of how commercial models and price levels influence tender outcomes and future revenue streams
  • Solution knowledge - Comprehensive view of Ericsson's portfolio, articulating value from both technical and commercial perspectives
  • Analytical thinking - Ability to analyze deal requirements, build business cases, value calculators, and TCO models using data-driven insights
  • Negotiation skills - Confidence representing Ericsson in commercial discussions and influencing stakeholders toward timely decisions

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
