Graham is actively recruiting a Commercial Manager to be based on a major project in Fort Saskatchewan near Edmonton to support our Industrial DivisionReporting to the Senior Commercial Director and working closely with the Operations Director and project team, this role plays a critical part in protecting and enhancing commercial outcomes across a complex, high-value project. As a Commercial Manager, you will directly influence profitability, risk management, and disciplined contract execution from early pursuit through final close-out. By partnering with clients, project teams, and senior leaders, you'll help ensure projects are delivered with financial integrity, controlled risk, and long-term value for both the business and its partners. This position will suit individuals with a Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Estimating back ground with a stong bias towards, and proficiency in, contract management, letting and administration of subcontracts, cost forecasting, risk identification, change and claims management.

Your Role in Building What Matters - From Office to Site
  • Provide commercial leadership across pre-construction and project execution, overseeing all contractual, financial, and commercial aspects to ensure profitable and compliant project delivery
  • Advise project and senior leadership on contract risks, opportunities, recovery strategies, and governance across complex projects up to $100M in annual revenue
  • Lead commercial and financial control including cash flow, forecasting, cost management, profitability, change management, and full commercial recovery
  • Manage contracts, change, and claims by leading client and subcontractor negotiations, overseeing change orders, resolving disputes, and protecting the company's commercial position
  • Develop people and capability by mentoring commercial staff, supporting project teams, and embedding disciplined commercial, contractual, and financial practices across projects


The Right Tools for the Job

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

Experience: 15-20+ years of progressive commercial experience supporting large, complex construction projects, including pre-construction, execution, and close-out phases

Skills: Strong expertise in contract management, commercial risk, change management, claims, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting, with proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
