SummaryPerforms high level and diversified administrative duties principally for Consumer, Construction and Commercial Lending personnel and provides relief assistance to other officers. Provides personal banking service to customers for loan assistance. Provides oversight of Personal Banking staff.
Essential Functions- Oversight of Commercial Loan Specialists; includes workflow, performance reviews, timesheets and request for time off, etc.
- Builds relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
- Assist lending officers with wire transfers, payments, advances and client inquiries
- Assist lending officers with collection of application items, requesting financials and/or other documents, client follow up
- Assist in preparation of loan presentation to Loan Committee
- Assist lending officers with exception/critical reports
- Communicates with loan officer regarding overdrafts, matured/maturing loans, contacts customer and/or insurance companies to clear exceptions on loans and other pending items, etc.
- Assist lending officers with loan closings
- Ensures correspondence received is handled and routed as needed
- Ensures compliance with banking policies, lending practices and regulatory requirements
- Handles in-person and telephone inquiries; responds to request and inquiries, researches discrepancies and resolves issues
- Notarize documents when necessary
- Prepare Loan Documents on Laser Pro
- Review Attorney prepared Documents
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Required Education, Experience, Skills- Minimum fifteen years' experience as a Personal Banker
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of bank personnel and customers; ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to obtain Notary Public license for the state of Texas or New Mexico
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with use of LaserPro lending software
- Proven leader; ability to direct and mentor junior level staff
- Self-directed; ability to solve problems independently
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, to include Word and Excel
- Strong knowledge of consumer and commercial loan documentation
- Strong knowledge of relevant rules and regulations (BSA/AML, Right to Receive Appraisal, etc.)
- Strong technical knowledge; mastering of loan documentation and title commitment process; handle more complex relationships
Equipment Used- Standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers
Supervisory Responsibility- Direct supervision of Personal Banker staff
