Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial HVAC/R service or a 2-year HVAC/R technical degree with relevant experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal).
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Hot Work Certification.
• High school diploma plus vocational or technical HVAC/R program completion.
• State or municipal refrigeration/mechanical license (if required).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Service rooftop units, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, ice machines, and display cases.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagrams and specifications.
• Recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerants following EPA guidelines.
• Repair and replace key components like compressors and evaporators.
• Read blueprints and equipment schematics for accurate service.
• Complete service documentation and communicate findings effectively.
