Responsibilities

  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics accurately.
  • Document all service work, repairs, and recommendations promptly.
  • Communicate system conditions and findings clearly to customers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety requirements and EPA standards.
  • Mentor and guide apprentices or junior technicians when necessary.

Job Summary We're looking for an experienced HVAC Technician with deep expertise in commercial systems to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair all types of commercial HVAC systems including VAV, VRF, RTUs, chillers, etc.
  • Commission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.

Required Qualifications
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • 3 or more years of commercial HVAC experience with exposure to heavy chiller systems preferred.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems.
  • Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Factory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers.
  • Hands-on controls programming or commissioning background.
  • Prior experience in hospitals, industrial plants, or large-scale commercial buildings.
