Full Job Description
Under the direction of the COE Manager, the COE Supervisor - Projects and Support provides effective directional leadership, management, and coordination of Center of Excellence (COE) resources supporting the Land and Land Admin department's special projects, SharePoint ownership, reporting tools, data integrity, and data gathering functions, including support of A&D data cleansing and system setup efforts. Requires advanced knowledge of all aspects of land and land admin management principles and thorough understanding of all existing land and land admin processes. This role ensures COE objectives are met, including the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting, data, and tools delivered to the Land department. The Supervisor partners with key stakeholders to support achievement of the COE's contribution toward operational excellence in alignment with SM Energy's business strategy. Essential Roles and Responsibilities • Provide leadership, management, and coordination of COE team resources responsible for Special Projects Management supporting Land and Land Admin initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and deliverables are met • Oversee SharePoint Ownership and Management, including toolkits and well trackers, ensuring sites remain accurate, organized, and effective for the Land department • Oversee Reporting Tools, including PPQ and Well Downtime reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with stakeholder needs • Oversee Data Integrity efforts, including audits and DI reporting, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved • Oversee Data Gathering initiatives, including surveys and focus groups, ensuring feedback is collected and translated into actionable improvements • Oversee A&D Processing Support, including data cleansing project management and system setups, ensuring readiness and accuracy for acquisition and divestiture activity • Possesses cross-functional knowledge of COE Projects and Support functions to effectively lead and support the team • Advocates for the COE team to ensure resources are provided (e.g. training, IT support, tools, information from key stakeholders/customers) to support the delivery of reliable data and services • Conducts business with the highest ethical standards; demonstrates decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities • Performs other duties as assigned Computer/Software Applications • Highly proficient with the use of all Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with industry/company related software (e.g., SAP, Quorum, eCalendar, QQM, Well Master and other internal applications). • Working knowledge of SharePoint administration, survey/feedback platforms, and Land reporting tools such as PPQ and Well Downtime reporting. Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills • Advanced understanding of Land department data, processes, and systems supporting special projects, SharePoint, reporting, and data integrity functions. • Skilled in project management, SharePoint governance, and data audit methodology. • Working knowledge of survey design and facilitation of focus groups to gather stakeholder feedback. • Advanced understanding of acquisition/divestiture data cleansing and system setup requirements. Education: B.B.A. degree in Energy Management or equivalent, Land Management or other Business Degree preferred. Typical Experience: Minimum of 12 years related experience, including demonstrated experience leading project management, data governance/reporting, or SharePoint administration functions.
