Job Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for daily operations of the hospital inpatient or outpatient coding team. Directly supervises team members and performance management. Promotes accurate, efficient, and compliant coding practices that support the organization's objectives and goals. Develops individual staff and team goals. Identifies process improvements and assists with development of action plans as opportunities are identified.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicants must reside in Eastern Standard Time Zone
  • Associate degree in health information management or related field.
  • Hospital inpatient coding proficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement methodologies.
  • 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS or CPC certification.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management or related field.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, HIM coding, reimbursement and EHR Systems. Proficient in report monitoring, data analysis and identifying trends.
  • 3 years of coding experience.
  • 1 year of management experience.
  • RHIA or RHIT certification.

Salary Range - $41,600 - $134,680

This is a remote position; however, employment is limited to residents of certain U.S. states due to legal, tax, and regulatory requirements. Eligibility is based on applicant's primary residence at time of hire.
