Job Description

Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 6 month co-op opportunities at our site in Murrysville, PA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

  • You will support the Manufacturing Engineering team responsible for production line set-up, equipment maintenance, and process validation for Philips' Hospital Patient Monitoring business, helping deliver solutions that simplify clinician workflow and improve patient outcomes.

  • You will work alongside a high-performing Manufacturing Engineering team that participates in every stage of product development, from definition through delivery, partnering closely with quality, R&D, Industrialization, and equipment stakeholders.

  • You will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing line set-up, equipment troubleshooting, and validation protocols within the Philips Quality System, working full-time onsite at our Murrysville, PA facility.

You're the right fit if:

  • You are pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

  • Your skills include strong, demonstrated problem-solving abilities; knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Python or other programming languages, and familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 are all a plus.

  • You've built relevant experience through coursework and/or previous internships or co-ops; this is an individual contributor role.

  • You're dependable, detail-oriented, and bring strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills to a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is Bachelor: $26.00-$29.00, Masters: $33.00-$46.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
