Qualifications

• 7-10 years of CNC machining, setup, and programming experience (or equivalent)
• Strong experience with Milling, Turning, and Swiss machining
• Advanced understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Proven ability to independently adjust programs and tooling
• Deep knowledge of cutters, inserts, and tool selection based on material and tolerances
• Familiarity with G-codes, M-codes, and CAM software (Mastercam preferred)
• Experience in medical or regulated manufacturing is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical data
• Write, edit, and adjust CNC programs using Mastercam or similar software
• Perform complex machining operations including milling, drilling, and boring
• Select and install cutting tools, calculating feeds and speeds
• Conduct prove-outs and manual programming during setups
• Troubleshoot machine issues and out-of-tolerance conditions
• Inspect parts using precision gauges for quality compliance
• Train operators after setups are complete
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with repairs
• Maintain clear documentation and shift handoff notes
• Keep machines and work areas clean and safe
