Your role.
Define and evolve Azure platform standards, roadmaps, and best practices in collaboration with architects and engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership for the Cloud Team, including coaching, mentoring, delegating, reviewing work of other team members, and setting appropriate expectations and goals.
Design, and implement Azure solutions that meet business requirements, including high availability, disaster recovery, and security controls.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related tooling.
Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to deliver cloud infrastructure safely and consistently at scale.
Lead cloud solutions from concept through implementation, including architecture decisions, cost considerations, and knowledge transfer.
Conduct research on emerging public cloud technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive improvements to prevent recurring issues.
Apply FinOps practices to optimize cloud costs and improve transparency.
Provide senior-level (Tier 3) support for Azure infrastructure, including participation in on-call rotations and occasional after-hours maintenance.
The qualifications.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business or a related major is preferred but not required.
7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years building and operating solutions in Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code.
Ability to lead technically, communicate clearly, and guide others through complex problems.
Demonstrated work experience with Terraform and deploying Infrastructure as Code.
Thorough understanding of Azure resources such as App Services, Front Door, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Network Security Groups (NSG), Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL, and Storage Accounts.
Knowledge of core networking principles, including subnetting, routing, and security best practices.
Experience designing for high availability using Availability Zones and regional architectures.
A passion for cloud technologies and continuous learning.
This position may require travel on rare occasions.
Experience with the following will help you stand out, but are not required:
Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform Cloud, Env0, or similar platforms.
Experience deploying Microsoft Azure AI services.
Microsoft Azure or HashiCorp certification.
Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.
This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $115,000.00 - $165,000.00
