Description
• The Cloud System Architect serves as the District's technical leader for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise Data Lakehouse architecture, AI-enabled analytics, and cloud data modernization initiatives. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and governing scalable cloud and data platforms that support enterprise reporting, predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and executive decision-making.
• The Architect will establish cloud architecture standards, data governance frameworks, AI-driven dashboard strategies, and enterprise analytics capabilities while ensuring alignment with District technology objectives, security requirements, and industry best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture, including networking, storage, compute, database, and security services.
• Architect, implement, and govern the District's enterprise Data Lakehouse environment supporting structured and unstructured data workloads.
• Develop and oversee cloud-native data integration, and data engineering solutions that support enterprise analytics and reporting.
• Lead the implementation and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies for predictive analytics, forecasting, and operational intelligence.
• Design, develop, and manage AI-enabled executive dashboards and analytics platforms utilizing Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Power BI, or similar technologies.
• Establish enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, master data management, and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure cloud and data solutions comply with District architecture standards and security requirements.
• Develop automation frameworks, Infrastructure monitoring solutions, and operational best practices to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging cloud, analytics, AI, and data technologies and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, mentoring, and project oversight for cloud, data, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years enterprise cloud architecture, data architecture, and solution design
• 3+ years Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architecture and administration
• 3+ years Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics solution
• Large-scale enterprise technology in K-12 Education or public sector experience preferred
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise technology architectures.
• Certified in one or more of the following preferred: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional, Oracle Cloud Data Management Certification, Oracle Analytics Cloud Certification, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS or Azure Cloud Architect Certification
• Extensive experience architecting cloud-native data and analytics platforms.
• Experience developing AI-enabled dashboards and executive reporting solutions.
• Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, OCI Data Integration, OCI Data Science, and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
• Experience establishing enterprise data governance, security controls, and cloud operating models.
• Demonstrated success leading cloud transformation and digital modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments with complex data integration requirements.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise Data Lakehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, and predictive analytics technologies.
• Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and enterprise data management.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, API integration, automation, and cloud-native development.
• Ability to develop enterprise architecture documentation, solution designs, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multiple strategic initiatives while working independently and collaboratively.
