Cloud Solution Engineer

Roswell, GA (on-site)

In this important cloud solution engineering role, you will help develop and lead technical operations for the company's digital experience and IoT platforms by blending hands-on contribution with visionary solution architecture across embedded systems, web applications, and AI technologies.

Key to this role is collaborating with cross-functional teams on the digital product roadmap and developing and implementing the technical architecture required to deliver best-in-class digital experiences. This position is hands-on, combining architectural ownership and cross-functional leadership across multiple Agile Release Trains with active, individual contribution to the company's web, cloud, and IoT platforms.

This role is more than engineering software. It's about solving complex challenges to create technologies that improve veterinary care and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Advocate the digital product story to align internal sponsors around a cohesive product vision.
  1. Own and evolve the technical architecture roadmap to improve and expand digital experiences, including IoT and eCommerce platforms.
  1. Orchestrate feature development and value delivery across multiple cross-functional IoT and application development teams.
  1. Own, evolve, and maintain solution architecture and design documentation within the company's eQMS.
  1. Lead web application, AWS and Azure platform development by example through direct, hands-on individual contribution.
  1. Manage third-party relationships that support the software release trains.
  1. Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud, IoT, and AI technologies to keep the company's digital architecture current and competitive.
  1. Partner with legal, IT, and development teams to ensure architecture decisions align with data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  1. Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance to developers across the digital product organization.


Ideally, to be successful you will possess:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in progressive web development, advancing to full-stack developer/architect roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 9/10, Sass, .NET, SQL, and Cosmos DB.
    • Developing solutions within Microsoft Azure PaaS and serverless technologies (Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Application Services, Application Insights).
    • Developing solutions with AWS PaaS, container, and serverless technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, S3, Kinesis, Lambda).
  • Knowledge implementing DevOps CI/CD solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Argo, and other CI/CD platforms.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of AI computer vision technologies, including Python, OpenCV, YOLO, RF-DETR, and Roboflow.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of embedded software development a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively with cross-functional groups and subject matter experts.
