The Cloud Software Developer is a key role in an Agile development team engaged in the modernization of enterprise-class software applications. The developer will work in coordination with team members, fellow Agile units, and other stakeholders to build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise. They will leverage their experience in cloud software development to support the development of an exciting new solution.

As a Cloud Software Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

  • Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
  • Maintains the integrity and security of systems
  • Supports and develops automation
  • Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
  • Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services
  • Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, et al


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Software Developer must have:

Education:

  • Technical Training, Certificate, or Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience

Experience:

  • 7+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing required

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the following languages: Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
  • Linux OS experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools
  • Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
