Zantech is looking for a
Cloud Programs Communications Analyst to support a federal IT modernization program for a major civilian agency in the Washington, DC Metro area. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and communication - someone who understands how cloud infrastructure and IT modernization programs work, and whose greatest strength is translating that complexity into sharp, polished materials for senior government leaders.
This is not a deep technical hands-on role. It is a high-visibility communications and analytical support role. If you are energized by the challenge of walking into a room of senior executives with a crisp brief you built from raw program data - this position is for you.
What You Will Do:- Develop and deliver executive-level briefings, talking points, status reports, and presentations for senior federal leadership audiences (think C-suite equivalent government officials)
- Translate complex cloud migration and IT modernization program activity into clear, concise executive narratives using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Support cloud schedule tracking and reporting, turning data into visual dashboards and program summaries that inform leadership decisions
- Respond rapidly to ad-hoc data calls and tasking requests from government leads
- Coordinate with technical team members to gather, synthesize, and accurately represent program status, risks, and accomplishments
- Manage program documentation, action item tracking, and recurring reporting cadences
- Support development of talking points and materials for external government conferences and interagency engagements
- Maintain knowledge management content using Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
What You Must Bring:- 3-5 years of experience in a role where producing polished briefings, reports, or executive communications was central - not occasional
- The ability to absorb technical information quickly and retell it clearly to a non-technical audience - this is the job
- Strong command of Microsoft 365, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; you should be able to build a compelling executive slide deck without a template
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; you are comfortable presenting your work to senior stakeholders
- Active DHS/CBP High Public Trust (Background Investigation Level 4 or 5) OR an active DoD Top Secret clearance - one of these is required; we cannot sponsor or wait on clearance processing for this position
What Will Make You Stand Out:- Experience supporting federal IT programs, cloud migration initiatives, or government IT modernization efforts
- Familiarity with cloud concepts and terminology (AWS, Azure, or similar) - you don't need to build the architecture, but you should be able to read a cloud migration report and know what it means
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or active pursuit of one is a genuine plus
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Background in a consulting or advisory environment where you regularly prepared materials for senior decision-makers
What We Are Not Looking For:- A hands-on cloud engineer or infrastructure architect - there are other positions for that
- Someone who has "excellent communication skills" because it was listed on their last JD - we want someone who can show it
Required Security Clearance:U.S. Citizenship required. Must currently hold an active DHS/CBP High Public Trust (BI Level 4 or 5) or an active DoD Top Secret clearance. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
