We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who understands enterprise automation and stays attuned to emerging technologies. Including AI integration and machine learning, and their implications for infrastructure design and development lifecycles. The ideal candidate is hands-on across the full infrastructure stack, from virtualization and containers to identity management and data storage, and capable of carrying systems from requirements through operational handoff in highly regulated environments.
This role also requires the ability to work cross-functionally with enterprise networking and cybersecurity teams, along with a demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers while executing assigned tasks.
What You'll Do- Infrastructure Design & Implementation Design, implement, and sustain secure enterprise infrastructure across classified and multi-enclave environments, including virtualization, containers, storage, and core identity services. Manage the full lifecycle of virtual environments from golden image development through capacity planning and operational handoff.
- Automation & Development Develop automation and software solutions using modern tooling to build and operate hardened, scalable infrastructure. Support code reviews, integration testing, and agentic coding practices within established development lifecycles.
- Emerging Technology & Innovation Identify capability gaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and lead proof-of-concept efforts across areas such as self-healing infrastructure, intelligent threat detection, identity flows, and dynamic cost optimization. Contribute to roadmap development and technology investment recommendations that evolve customer designs and mindsets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work alongside enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and adjacent program teams to ensure infrastructure solutions are integrated, compliant, and operationally sound. Support continuous cybersecurity compliance across containers and networks.
- Agile Delivery & Mentorship Operate within agile frameworks and apply emerging delivery concepts including AI-assisted development lifecycles (AI-DLC) and BMAD. Mentor junior engineers and administrators on secure design, infrastructure automation, and engineering best practices
Salary Range: $180,000- $200,000
