Job Title: Cloud Integration EngineerLocation: Norman, OKPosition Type: Full-Time/Onsite Clearance: Public Trust Centuria is seeking a Cloud Integration Engineer to join our team in Norman, OK, supporting the National Weather Service (NWS) Radar Operations Center (ROC). Supporting the Engineering Branch, you will serve as a technical lead responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining the ROC's interface systems and data pipelines that connect to NWS enterprise cloud platforms, including HIVE and CIRRUS.
This position is a dedicated engineering role focused on the ROC's implementation for cloud adoption, which includes building reliable integration endpoints, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring real-time NEXRAD data transitions seamlessly from ground systems to NWS enterprise cloud environments.
Job Responsibilities:- Deploy, configure, and maintain ROC-side integration components, client endpoints, and data delivery services that feed radar data into NWS enterprise cloud systems including HIVE and CIRRUS.
- Build and maintain automated deployment scripts, configuration templates, and pipeline workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Configure and validate ROC cloud connection points, access controls, and boundary interfaces.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize data ingestion and delivery throughput from ROC processing nodes to NWS enterprise cloud ingress points.
- Draft interface control documentation, system configuration guides, and integration test plans to support engineering reviews and cloud migration milestones.
- Provide engineering support to troubleshoot API failures, data pipeline disruptions, or connection issues between ROC ground hardware and NWS cloud infrastructure.
Job Requirements:- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience deploying and integrating systems within AWS or similar enterprise cloud environments.
- Experience integrating high-throughput data streaming protocols or messaging tools such as Apache Kafka, Apache Polaris, or MQTT.
- Hands-on proficiency using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation for automated system deployment.
- Practical understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, including API gateways, VPC peering, IPsec VPNs, DNS, and secure endpoint management.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration with scripting fluency in Python or Bash for automation and pipeline diagnostics.
Preferred Qualifications:- Demonstrated ability to author interface control documents, technical integration procedures, and system diagrams.
- Exposure to containerized application deployments using Docker or managed Kubernetes environments (AWS ECS/EKS).
- Working knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and government engineering change management processes.
